Cooking ribs in aluminum foil is a technique popular in smoking and barbecuing and can easily be used when cooking ribs in the oven at home. Wrapping the ribs in aluminum foil will slightly decrease cooking time and result in tender, juicy meat.
Step 1
Liberally spread dry rub over both sides of the ribs. Cover the ribs completely and rub the mixture into the meat. Cover and place in refrigerator overnight. Bottles of dry rub are available in many supermarkets, or you can search the Internet for a dry rub recipe that is easy to mix at home.

Step 2
Preheat oven to 300 degrees F. Place ribs, meat side up, on cookie sheet and bake for 30 to 45 minutes. This will cause the dry rub to create a crust on the ribs.
Step 3
Wrap ribs in aluminum foil, keeping the meat side up. Return to the oven and bake for an additional 1 1/2 to 2 hours.

Step 4
Carefully remove ribs from the foil. Serve with barbecue sauce on the side.
