Image Credit: Stockbyte/Stockbyte/Getty Images Hotdogs are a perennial favorite for cookouts or large kids’ gatherings. Having to grill large quantities of them all at once is a challenge, however, and using a large roaster pan can solve that problem. The roaster gives you two choices, boiling or steaming. It is also helpful for keeping large quantities of hotdogs warm after they’ve been cooked elsewhere or by some other method.

Step 4
Remove the steamed hotdogs quickly using the tongs. Steam additional layers of hotdogs as needed to reach desired quantities.
Boiled Hotdogs
Step 1
Fill a large roaster half full with water. Cover and heat water to boiling.

Step 2
Put hotdogs into the boiling water, being careful not to splash the hot water onto your skin or clothes. Depending on the size of the roaster you’re using, you should be able to cook three to four dozen hotdogs at one time. Boil the hotdogs for 10 to 15 minutes.
Step 3
Remove finished hotdogs using tongs. Add more boiling water if needed and put in more hotdogs. Cook each batch of hotdogs for 10 to 15 minutes.
