Chapatis can be made in the microwave as well as on the stovetop.
A chapati is a type of unleavened bread originally part of the Indian cuisine. One of many unleavened flatbreads like phulka and paratha, chapati can be made from wheat or all-purpose flour and is traditionally cooked on a griddle or an open flame. When you do not have the luxury of cooking chapatis by one of these methods, you can adapt the recipe to your microwave.
