Image Credit: Jupiterimages/Stockbyte/Getty Images Baking a cake in a Pampered Chef stone is not much different than baking a cake in any other piece of bakeware, but the stone distributes the heat, allowing the cake to bake evenly. Over time, the stone becomes seasoned and develops a dark, nonstick coating that eliminates the need to cover the surface of the bake stone with oils or butter. Bake your favorite recipes in a Pamper Chef Stone for more even cooking.

Step 2
Mix your cake batter according to the directions on the packaging or by following your favorite cake recipe.
Step 3
Lightly brush your rectangular Pampered Chef baking stone with cooking oil if using for the first time. If you have an older Pampered Chef stone, it is not necessary to coat the inside of the baking stone. Do not spray the stone with nonstick cooking spray.
