If the weather is bad or you live in a hilly area, you may prefer to use an indoor stationary bike. A person weighing 125 pounds would burn 420 calories during 60 minutes of moderate cycling on a stationary bike. A 185-pound person would burn around 620 calories per hour.

Outdoor Biking
When cycling outside at a speed of around 14 to 16 mph, a 125-pound person would burn around 600 calories during 60 minutes. A 185-pound person would expend around 885 calories.
